On Thursday, April 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cold Spring Brewery, celebrate by raising a glass to those believe in service before self. The Lower Township Rotary Club sponsors youth sports teams, provides dictionaries every year to every third grade student, sponsors two to three juniors to attend a five-day Youth Leadership Conference at Stockton University, and runs the annual Christmas Parade, Pumpkin Festival and Veteran/Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Township Complex. The club built the gazebo and pavilions welcoming visitors to Lower Township at Douglass Park. They have raised funds to help the food banks and the Elementary School Dinner Program, provide a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior each year, and complete many other projects to help our community. A portion of the proceeds raised from this Thankful Thursday will be donated to the Lower Township Rotary. Cold Spring Brewery is located on Route 626, 733 Seashore Rd., three miles north of Victorian Cape May and a mile and a half west of the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway.
