Tea and Teddy Bears At Carriage House

By Herald Staff

CAPE MAY— Teddy bears, lovable and loyal companions since the early 20th century, are invited to an afternoon tea along with children and adults at Teddy Bear Tea Parties, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (MAC), held at Cape May’s Carriage House Tearoom and Café located on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St.
Bring your favorite bear (or dolly) to the tearoom and enjoy kid-friendly menus, teddy bear music, and a goody bag, compliments of the Cape May Teddy Bear Company.
Miss Jeanne and a special guest from the Cape May Teddy Bear Company will present stories and activities. Teddy Bear Tea Parties are scheduled for Sundays, July 11, July 25, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22 at 12 p.m., plus Wednesday, July 7 (Kids Day at the Emlen Physick Estate) at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
