COURT HOUSE – A new SUBWAY restaurant opened at Cape Regional Medical Center on Dec. 9. The restaurant is located at 2 Stone Harbor Blvd, in the East Lobby of the Medical Center replacing the former “Bistro.”
According to a release, the SUBWAY chain is famous for its made-to-order foot-long and six-inch submarine sandwiches.
Sandwiches are served on Italian, wheat and a variety of seasoned breads that are baked fresh daily in each restaurant.
Hot and cold subs are available with an assortment of meats, cheeses, vegetables and condiments, all added per customer request. The chain’s “eight under six” menu features eight sub sandwiches with six grams of fat or less.
The SUBWAY restaurant at the Medical Center also serves a selection of soups, salads and breakfast menu items.
“I am excited to be able to bring Subway’s delicious, fresh products to the people of Cape May Court House,” stated Imad Mirza, owner operator of the new sandwich shop. “I look forward to meeting the residents and invite everyone to stop by and try our world-famous submarine sandwiches.”
Mayor F. Nathan Doughty of Middle Township officiated over the opening ceremonies and performed the “cutting of the sandwich.”
“Years ago my mother, Ella Doughty, volunteered in the Cheeri Corner which was the original coffee shop at the Medical Center until the late 1990’s. The new Subway Restaurant is a great addition for the Medical Center’s visitors and employees. It shows how the Medical Center is thinking out of the box and offering a great service to its visitors and staff,” stated Doughty.
The SUBWAY restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
