Cape May Airport – The Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum would like to thank Sturdy Savings Bank for their support of the museum’s youth education programs and Free Lecture Series.
Thanks to a generous donation by Sturdy Savings Bank, NASW is planning to build on the past accomplishments of the Aviation Career Education “ACE” Academy and the Explorer’s Academy to create a camp curriculum that would benefit future Aviators, Engineers and Scientists. In both camps, students are given an overview of the importance of science, technology, engineering and math skills as they relate to careers in general, commercial, military and aerospace aviation industries.
The museum’s Aviation Education Program has been integrated with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content to maximize learning for all students, including those who are economically disadvantaged.
ACE Academy, available to serious-minded students, age 12-17, will run July 13-17, 2015 9 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Explorers Summer Academy is a half day camp tailored to younger students, ages 8-11, and will run one week only, July 20-24, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration for both camps is now open to all students. Enrollment is limited. Scholarships, financial aid packages and registration information are available on the museum’s website: www.usnasw.org. The Free Lecture Series will run on four consecutive Tuesdays starting June 9.
