Sturdy Savings Bank Promotes Trina McSorley

New Executive Vice President of Sturdy Savings Bank

By Press Release

Sturdy Savings Bank announced Sept. 9 that Trina McSorley has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president.
Before her promotion, McSorely, who is also director of Human Resources at Sturdy Savings Bank, worked for the bank in this capacity for eight years, bringing more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources to her position.
McSorley also serves as board secretary and assistant corporate secretary for the bank; and holds several certifications, including a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), and a senior certified professional (SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Messiah College and Master of Business degree in Administration from Monmouth University.
“I am honored to accept this promotion to executive vice president at Sturdy Savings Bank,” stated McSorely. “It is rewarding to be recognized for my work and dedication to a job I enjoy, and an institution that I believe puts its best foot forward for both its employees and customers.”
McSorely’s dedication to her job is also reflective of her volunteer work. She has participated in Operation Fireside with the Red Cross for over 10 years, and serves on the boards of Volunteers in Medicine (Finance and Human Resource Committees) and Family Promise (treasurer).  Additionally, she is in a leadership role for the Southern Shore Human Resources Management Association, an SHRM affiliated chapter, and on the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation Festival Committee.
McSorely was previously on the board of the Southern Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross, and served on allocation committees for the United Way of Atlantic County for 11 years.
“We are pleased to promote Trina to executive vice president for Sturdy Savings Bank. She is an invaluable member of our executive team, and this promotion is reflective of our appreciation for her hard work and dedication,” stated Sturdy Savings Bank President Jerry Reeves.
