Sturdy Savings Bank Presents Sponsorship Check to Museum of Cape May County for New “Bank on It!” Exhibit

By Press Release

Sturdy Savings Bank presented a Sponsorship Check to the Museum of Cape May County’s newest exhibit, “Bank on It!” – featuring over 40 Victorian mechanical banks of the 19th and 20th century.

The exhibit is on display now through Jan. 19 at 504 Rt. 9 N. in Cape May Court House. These mechanical machines, with illustrations of animals, magicians, people and places, will take spectators back to a time when a penny saved was a penny earned and children were taught the lesson of depositing their coins into their toy banks.

Sturdy Savings Bank, Member FDIC, was built on a simple principle: serving the community. Their mission remains the same ~ some 95 years later. Sturdy employees are committed to neighborhood service. You’ll find them where it matters most: your little league fields, senior citizen centers, schools, firehouses and churches. They’ll be at the AARP luncheons, the local symphony concerts and the food pantry fundraisers. Sturdy has grown from a small-town savings and loan association to a local, full service bank that understands there is no place like “home,” and they are dedicated to their role as a community neighbor, partner and leader.
