CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Sturdy Savings Bank announced it has recently named Scott Halliday to their Board of Directors.
As a Board member, Halliday will work in concert with other board members to administer the affairs of the bank. This includes setting strategic direction, oversight of business strategies and policies, and ensuring the safety and soundness of the bank for its depositors.
“We are pleased to have Scott on our board, and look forward to his insight and contributions,” said Board Chairman James Fisher. “He is a long-time customer and we are honored to have him on board.”
The decision to name Halliday to the board was based on his integrity, prudent business acumen and community involvement, which aligns with the core values of Sturdy Savings Bank.
Halliday has been a long-time, recognizable figure in his community, due to his extensive involvement, taking on volunteer roles with chambers, associations, educational and nonprofit entities, including the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, South Jersey’s Builder’s Association, Shore Memorial Hospital and the Ocean City Board of Education.
Halliday is owner and president of Halliday Leonard Inc., a custom home building and development business, for the past 39 years. During that time, Halliday Leonard Inc. has built over 2,000 homes and commercial units in Cape May County and Atlantic County.
