Grants to Support Local, School-aged Children
FOLSOM – South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, Inc. (NYSE: SJI), today announced the winners of its annual “Game On” Grant Program. Twenty grants in the amount of $1,000 each will provide critical support needed to sustain local, community-centered athletic programs, leagues, clubs, associations and recreational organizations for children.
“South Jersey Gas recognizes the importance of promoting healthy living and making positive lifestyle choices. These grants will help children to stay active by providing necessary funding for community athletic programs,” said David Robbins, president of South Jersey Gas.
Since 2011, South Jersey Gas has contributed $95,000 towards youth community-centered athletic programs.
“We are happy to support youth athletic programs across southern New Jersey to provide much needed funding,” added Robbins. “These programs help children develop teamwork and leadership skills that are critical in academics and their futures.”
