FOLSOM, N.J. – South Jersey Energy, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, Inc. (NYSE: SJI), presented Temple University Men’s Basketball Coach Fran Dunphy and St. Joseph’s University Men’s Basketball Coach Phil Martelli with a $5,000 donation to Coaches vs. Cancer to support their efforts in the fight against cancer and help find a cure for the disease. Funds will also benefit Hope Lodge, which offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city.
The gift was presented during a special WIP “Breakfast with the Coaches” session at Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House in Sea Isle City on Monday, Aug. 14. Over 125 customers and guests from across the region gathered to meet and have breakfast with the coaches with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Philadelphia Coaches vs. Cancer. With the help of Ed McFadden, the St. Joe’s Hawk and Hooter the Owl, Angelo Cataldi and the morning team surprised the coaches with this generous donation while being interviewed on the air during WIP’s annual summer events at Doc Magrogan’s.
