Soroptimist International Delivers Gift Bags for Cancer Patients at Cape Regional Medical Center

COURT HOUSE – Members of Soroptimist International of Cape May County: Rosemary Jones, President, Bernadette Matthews, Vice President, and Jonna Myers, Gift Bag Committee Member, visited Cape Regional Medical Center on Thursday, September 3, 2015 to personally deliver Soroptimist International Gift Bags for women who have been diagnosed with cancer and are receiving treatment or attending support groups at Cape Regional.
“We are so excited that the patients at the Brodesser Cancer Center enjoyed the gift bags delivered last year. We are proud to deliver 20 additional gift bags that are full of items to brighten the day of women who are living with a diagnosis of cancer. It is our hope that these gifts will strengthen and encourage each recipient on their journey of healing,” stated Rosemary Jones, President of Soroptimist International of Cape May County.
“We are grateful to the women of Soroptimist International of Cape May County for empowering women in our county and across the world,” stated Theresa Netz, RN, MSN, ONC, Nursing Director, Thomas & Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center. “The gift bags are a delightful addition to our cancer care program; our patients and support group participants are so appreciative of the kindness shown by the Soroptimist members.”
A recent recipient of a bag shared, “The Soroptimist Club is to be commended for the thoughtfulness and care putting together this lovely gift bag. Each item is very useful and very much appreciated. It brightened my day.”
