THE WILDWOODS – The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) encourages everyone to shop locally during the 3rd Annual Small Business Saturday®, a nationwide effort dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
On Sat., Nov. 24, the WBID invites everyone to help fuel the local economy and “shop small” at their favorite Downtown Wildwood shop or restaurant to find great deals and unique gifts.
Located from Cresse Avenue to 26th Street, Downtown Wildwood is comprised of 26 blocks of eateries, unique shops, bars, hotels/motels and fun things to do and see – including cool new streetscapes with loads of curb appeal, new banners, curbs, neon signs, streetscapes, decorative lighting, additional street furnishings and eye-catching directional signs.
“Shopping small can have a big impact,” said John Donio, president of the WBID. “Shopping local can also make a huge difference in our local economy – and visitors to Downtown Wildwood will find some great deals and enjoy a festive shopping experience that is characteristically Wildwood,” he added.
Downtown Wildwood offers many independently owned retail shops for gifts, clothing and apparel, jewelry, homemade candy and fudge, fresh flowers, bicycles and more. In addition, there are many distinctive and fun restaurants, bars and pubs offering all types of fare – from fresh seafood to Italian and Continental cuisine, as well as classic offerings like burgers, wings, sandwiches, homemade soups and salads, along with a large selection of beers and spirits from behind the bar.
