SHPOA Names 2014 Outstanding Citizen of the Year

By Press Release

STONE HARBOR – Jon Ready was named the 2014 Outstanding Citizen of the Year at the fall general membership meeting of the Stone Harbor Property Owners Association (SHPOA). Jeff Alderton, President, described Jon as “an individual who has contributed to our community at a variety of levels. As a Vietnam combat veteran, he continues to serve his country through his efforts at the American Legion Post 331 as a Trustee. He was instrumental in the creation and execution of the installation of the four new signs in town donated by the POA. As a Trustee on the POA, he was extremely active in various committees, and created some of the activities that are now institutionalized. He was a cornerstone for introducing the Jersey Shore Pops to the Centennial Committee which proved to be a huge win for Stone Harbor. He sits as a Board member of the Jersey Shore Pops, has been an Elks member for 43 years, and has his NJ realtor license. Jon is known to dive into a project, and bring it to a conclusion. Jon is always coming up with a new idea, a new concept, and a new project for the POA to explore all for the benefit of Stone Harbor. He is creative, has lots of energy, and most of all committed to Stone Harbor… its culture and its focus on the future.”
