Shore Memorial Honors Employees With English As a Second Language

SOMERS POINT — Shore Memorial Hospital honored 10 employees who completed the Level 2 English as a Second Language course with a celebration on June 21 at the hospital.
The course was made available to Shore Memorial employees through a grant funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor, and in conjunction with the New Jersey Community College Workforce Consortium and the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. Shore Memorial is the only hospital in the region to take part in this grant program.
Employees attended weekly classes from March 1 through June 21 to enhance their communication skills. All participants previously completed the Level 1 English as a Second Language Course.
