MARMORA – ShopRite declared Sept. 18 as ShopRite Partners in caring day! We asked for dignitaries to come and help bag for hunger to promote awareness in the community.
We started out in 1999 and have donated more than $30 million dollars to local food banks. Today we had bag for the event Margie Barham (executive director of the food bank of EHT), Jay Newman (Upper Township committee) and Jack Gibson (former state assemblyman).
In 3 weeks, our Marmora store has raised $4,617. Such events were hot dogs sales, pretzels, root beer floats and a raffle for a $200 ShopRite gift card plus donations through our check out lanes.
