RIO GRANDE – From July 1 to Sept. 20, 2014, eligible Cape May County seniors will receive four $5 checks (total $20) per senior. Those checks can be redeemed at authorized farmers markets only. They may not be used in grocery stores.
Check for the “WIC & Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program” poster at the stand.
If the poster is not seen, ask if they participate in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program. All checks must be redeemed by Nov. 30, 2014.
The state Department of Health and Senior Services and the Cape May County Department of Aging and Disability Services are again offering this program for qualified Cape May County residents only.
