Sea Isle Families Flock to Festival

By Al Campbell

SEA ISLE CITY — A gust of wind tore down a tent on the Promenade Saturday morning, but that didn’t stop the 18th annual Fall Family Festival from drawing thousands to the great bargains and assortment of fresh-cooked foods.
Eight-foot-tall juggler Gerry Giovinco of Mays Landing wandered through the crowds, shaking hands, juggling and amazing little tykes with his antics.
In the midst of the food court, pizza, seafood, roast pork and other favorites were being sold as fast as they could be put together.
Crowds gathered around the Tidal Wave Band as it made music and made many want to dance.
The Fall Family Festival is a celebration of Sea Isle City’s family atmosphere, and shows appreciation for all who made the summer season a successful one.
The festival will continue through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday an antique auto show and parade will held.
Also, a sand sculpting contest, free guided historical trolley tours and music by Snake Brothers Band will highlight the day.
