Owners Kevin and Paul Harrington are third-generation stylists that studied at Chicago’s illustrious Pivot Point Academy before opening the salon in Marmora with their family. Their grandmother and mother were both stylists, so it was a natural transition into the hair industry after growing up in the business. From a young age, Paul knew he wanted to do hair and Kevin followed closely in his footsteps. Their parents opened the doors to the salon over 30 years ago, but the brothers have since taken over to provide the best hair services to clients in the Marmora area.
As the new year begins, Kevin and Paul want to continue to grow and expand their business. Kevin and Paul have made it their mission to provide their clientele with a warm, relaxing environment while they get their hair done. The stylists love connecting with their customers, getting to know their life stories, and accepting them into the Salon Salon family.
Last year, Kevin and Paul brought in two experienced stylists, Randi Scheck and Bonnie Berman, to join the Salon Salon team. With 33 years of experience as a stylist, Randi Scheck began working at the salon this past February. After working in Galloway for 20 years, she worked at Village Barber and opened Chop Shop in Marmora before bringing her clients to Salon Salon. Bonnie Berman, who also started last February, is originally from Pennsylvania but moved to New Jersey three years ago. She has over 30 years of experience and now spends two to three days at Salon Salon each week.
Altogether, the stylists at Salon Salon have over 120 years of experience. All the stylists strive to keep up with the latest trends and the ever-changing hair industry because they believe there is always room for growth. Salon Salon incorporates the latest in haircare services and products. We carry trending fashion colors of pinks and violets and everything in-between for your artistic statement. Permanent color lines of Pravana and Megix 10. Megix 10 is an Italian color line which gives full coverage in 10 minutes. There is also a color line for men that gives full coverage in 10 minutes as well. Both perfect for express services when time is limited. Keratin services without harmful chemical fumes are also a speciality. Long lasting Japanese Straightening services are also performed at Salon Salon. We also carry the all organic retail and backbar product line Loma. Loma is an American company that specializes in high performing products with naturally healing ingredients. Salon Salon is a full service salon that caters to and welcomes clients of all ages.
Community outreach is also extremely important to the staff at Salon Salon. They have had partnerships with Ocean City Upper Township Rotary for Operation Warm Coat, Locks of Love, and Toys for Tots and plan to host more events to continue to reach out to and give back to the community.
On Jan. 15, Salon Salon will host a wellness event in their salon to introduce themselves to new clients and connect with the community that has supported them over the years. Other local businesses will also be at the event to meet guests, including Medical Aesthetics Center, Angel Nails Salon, Island Shore Chinese, and Little Egg Harbor Soap. Adele Bertholet, a mind, body, and spirit energy healer and life coach, comes highly recommended and will also be at the event to meet with guests.
