The Thomas & Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center is located at Cape Regional Medical Center. The Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund’s generous pledge of $250,000 to the Medical Center has been used to purchase new technology and provide quality cancer treatment to the residents and visitors of our community.
The original mission of RNS was to provide the finest facilities and equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in the region. When the need for more sophisticated technology for the treatment of heart disease became a medical priority, RNS expanded its mission and became the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund in order to best serve the interests of the residents of Southeastern New Jersey.
