Ribbon Cut at Reef Family Pharmacy

By Al Campbell

COURT HOUSE — Balloons and red ribbon with a big bow were things that made the grand opening of Reef Family Pharmacy festive on Friday, Oct. 23.
Owner-Pharmacist Scott Reef, returned to 804 Route 9 South, just north of Shellbay Avenue, where he formerly operated another independent pharmacy. After that, he went to a chain pharmacy in Rio Grande, but decided to strike out on his own, with his family’s backing and support.
Scott’s wife, Amy, will be assisting handling the pharmacy’s financial side while Scott oversees the distribution of medications.
Middle Township Mayor F. Nathan Doughty was joined by Assemblyman Matthew Milam (D-1st) and Dennis Township Deputy Mayor Dennis Crippen, Reef’s hometown chief executive, and family members as Doughty officially snipped the ribbon to make the opening official.
Joining at the event were the Reefs’ children, Evan, 15, Haley, 13, Brianna, 11 and Jenna, 7.
Jenna even pressed the big bow into a makeshift hat, which she seemed to enjoy wearing as she ran about the crowd of wellwishers after the ribbon was cut, and mom and dad were talking with officials.
The facility is affiliated with Rx Health Mart Pharmacy.
