Raymond Marotta, M.D. Named ‘Top Doctor’ in New Jersey

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Raymond Marotta, M.D., Board-Certified Family Physician with Cape Regional Physician Associates, has been selected by Castle Connolly as a “Top Doctor” in New Jersey for 2016.
Dr. Marotta has practiced in Cape May County since 1988. He is a native of Atlantic County and graduate of Rutgers University. In 1983, he graduated from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1986. He subsequently became Board Certified in Family Medicine and earned a certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics.
After his residency, Dr. Marotta practiced family medicine in Tuckerton, N.J. In 1988, he and his family moved to Cape May County where he served as the Chief of the Medical Branch at the United States Coast Guard Dispensary as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service. After his Public Health Service obligation in 1994, he joined North Wildwood Medical Associates where he worked until joining Cape Regional Physicians Associates in June 2011.
Dr. Marotta has served as school physician for the Middle Township and North Wildwood school districts. He has been involved in Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County and has been active in the county community health clinics.
Dr. Marotta has a special interest in geriatrics, community health, and palliative and home care. He and his wife, Mary, live in Middle Township. The couple has three grown children. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking with his family and friends, woodworking and playing the guitar.
