Pat Everett of Cape May is the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) Volunteer of the Month for September 2017. Pat has been a huge supporter of MAC’s Lunch & Learn series. She is extraordinarily engaged as a member of the audience at each lecture she attends, she attends most of the lectures, and she has become well known for bringing a delicious, homemade coffeecake to lectures and sharing it with attendees. Her granddaughter, Eliza Lotozo, MAC’s Director of External Affairs, said her grandmother has perfected her recipe three times and many at the lectures have asked for her it. She is shown here in attendance at the latest Lunch & Learn lecture on Wednesday, Sept. 20, given by Alex Breve: “Classic Hollywood Cinema and the Film Stars of Yesteryear.”
Barbara Hubmaster, MAC Volunteer Coordinator, nominated Pat for this honor. “Pat’s coffeecakes were a real hit this year at our Lunch & Learns. Pat offered to bring them and it became a tradition that everyone really looked forward to each time she walked in the door. She has a delightful personality and has become a great friend to MAC.”
The Volunteer of the Month award is given to persons who demonstrate a high degree of dedication, commitment and constancy to MAC’s volunteer program. For information on the variety of volunteer opportunities available, please contact Barbara Hubmaster at (609) 884-5404 ext. 109 or email bhubmaster@capemaymac.org.
