Don’t miss these special events:
• Dec. 11 — Benefit Concert for the storm effected residents of Cape May County. Ron Gartner, out of New York City, has offered to present, at no cost to the MT PAC, his LasVegas style show entitled, “Scotch, Soul and Rock and Roll.”
Because he and Aspell, Director of the MT PAC, have had business dealings, Gartner stated that he wanted to give back to this area in some way.
The donation for this concert will be $10 which in turn, will be the audience’s donation to the hurricane victims of Cape May County.
For the $10 donation, people from Cape May County and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to see a professional singing sensation in Gartner who delivers the music of the Rat Pac, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Perry Como and others.
The PAC is hoping to raise $10,000 in this venture and we can do this if all seats at the MT PAC are sold out, so please help us to do just that. All net proceeds will be given to the Red Cross to be used in Cape May County.
You may call the Box Office, 609-463-1924, to reserve your seat.
• Dec. 16 — The Middle Township Performing Arts Center will be celebrating its 20 years of service to the community.
All residents of Cape May County and the surrounding areas are invited to an Open House at the PAC starting at 1:30 p.m. when an anniversary cake and refreshments will be served in the lobby.
For those of you who have always wondered what happens back stage, tours will be given of the backstage wings and scene shop, the upstairs bridge which houses the spotlights and sound mechanics, plus the “cat walk” where all mechanisms that operate the fly system, as well as many of the stage lights, can be seen.
The tour would continue downstairs to the dressing rooms, private dressing room and trap room.
After touring, and to top off the visit, all are invited to choose a seat in the “house” to hear a free Christmas concert performed by the ever-growing John Walters Band, conducted by Richard Ludwig, renowned conductor of the award-winning Middle Township High School Marching Band.
Please call the Box Office, 609-463-1924, to let us know if you will be seeing us this day!
Located at 1 Penkethman Way, Cape May Court House. Access www.middlepac.com.
