North Wildwood Annual Irish Fall Festival

NORTH WILDWOOD — In the late afternoon of Sept. 20, shop owners, bar managers, food vendors, and police officers working in the area of Olde New Jersey Avenue made last minute preparations through what many jokingly referred to as “the calm before the storm.”
The streets and bars were all but empty, but everyone knew that it wasn’t going to last for long. The Irish are coming!
And with forecasts predicting good weather, with highs in the low 80s, the city estimates that approximately 200,000 people will enjoy the four-day event in his city celebrates Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and crafts.
Friday’s lineup includes live entertainment, including the “official Irish music tent” located across the street from the former Moore’s Inlet, from noon to 10:30 p.m.
Brian Riley Pipe Exhibition is scheduled for Saturday at 10: a.m. at the sports field at Eighth and Central avenues. At 7:30 p.m. that night, the Dublin City Ramblers and the Gib-son School of Irish Dance will be performing at Wildwood Catholic High School.
On Sept. 23, the parade begins at 1 p.m. starting at 24th and Surf avenues to Spruce and Olde New Jersey avenues, with a special appearance by Grand Marshal Timmy Kelly and the Budweiser Clydesdales.
