THE WILDWOODS – The Inaugural Wild Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, August 28 in the Wildwoods, NJ. The Wild Half offers a seaside half marathon that combines the love of running with the pure joy of an amusement park, the sights and sounds of a classic boardwalk and outstanding accommodations together with the rhythm of beach life.
The Wild Half Marathon will take runners on a spectacular 13.1 mile course along the beautiful Wildwoods boardwalk, running along the shore line, through the entire island, to an unforgettable beach finish.
As part of the event, volunteers are needed to be part of the excitement and assist with the many elements of race weekend including set-up, registration, water stations, and finish line. With thousands of athletes competing on Sunday, August 28, more than 500 volunteers are needed to assist with the event.
As incentive, CGI Racing will make a generous donation of $25 per volunteer per shift to any non-profit organization providing volunteers on Saturday, August 27 or Sunday, August 28. The total donation is based upon the number of volunteers provided, and CGI requires a minimum of (10) volunteers for any group volunteer donation. In addition, individuals are welcome to volunteer for the event.
Apart from the group volunteer donation incentive, additional benefits of volunteering for the Wild Half Marathon include an official commemorative t-shirt and a delicious post-race buffet, in addition to the opportunity of fulfilling community service hours and being part of a truly inspirational event.
If interested in becoming a volunteer for the Wild Half Marathon, please email mredrow@cgiracing.com by Wednesday, August 10 to reserve a spot.
The Wild Half is a partnership between CGI Racing and Morey’s Piers.
