Murray Earns October Service Excellence of Month Honors

COURT HOUSE — Nurse Peggy Murray, Intensive Care Unit has been honored with Cape Regional Medical Center’s Service Excellence of the Month Award for October.
“Peggy is one of the finest examples of a professional Registered Nurse that I have known in my 32 years of experience. She is kind, empathetic and supportive to her patients while wearing a genuine, caring smile,” states Suzanne Norton, in her award-nominating letter.
Peggy was joined by Deborah Baehser, vice president of Patient Services, Doreen Deckert, nurse director, and her many co-workers and friends as she was presented the award by the Service Excellence Committee.
Murray was presented with a Service Excellence of the Month pin, a $100 Visa Gift Card, a Cape Regional Medical Center duffel bag and beach towel as well as a three-month membership to the Fit for Life Fitness Center at the Medical Center.
“I am so honored to receive this award,” stated Murray. “The staff in the ICU works as one unit caring for the needs of all our patients and the needs of each other. I would have to say that each one is deserving of this honor.”
Peggy has been a member of the Medical Center family since February, 1987.
