Morey’s Piers Reports Minimal Damage Sustained

WILDWOOD – Morey’s Piers sustained relatively minor damage in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We are still conducting clean up and inspections, but there appears to be no structural damage to any of the piers or waterparks.
“The images of the devastation of amusement parks and resort towns to our north are surreal and heart breaking. In hindsight, we were simply lucky,” said Will and Jack Morey, 2nd generation partners of Morey’s Piers.
Much of the entertainment along the Jersey Shore is provided by families that have been in business for multiple generations. There are literally hundreds of family names and in many ways they ARE the Jersey Shore. We wish all of our Jersey Shore colleagues our heartfelt sympathy, but also the patience and perseverance that will be required to rebuild.
