THE WILDWOODS – Morey’s Piers is pleased to announce that employee Kevin Ebner, Aquatic Facility Manager, as the recipient of the World Waterpark Association’s “Emerging Leader – Employee of the Season Award.” Several nominations were submitted from waterparks across the globe and Kevin was selected from five finalists.
The WWA symposium, held in Las Vegas, recognizes a seasonal employee of waterpark industry who has demonstrated consistent and excellent service and leadership in their position that goes beyond standard expectations throughout the entire summer season.
“Kevin is truly a jack of all trades,” commented George Rohman, Morey’s Senior Operations Manager. “He has such a well-rounded skill-set that he excels in any position we put him in. We are honored to have Kevin as part of the team and it’s very fitting that WWA recognized him with this award.”
Kevin represented Morey’s Piers at the annual WWA Convention in Las Vegas where he received the award in front of more than 1000 convention delegates attending the general session presentation. WWA president Rick Root stated, “Recognizing our young, up and coming leaders and placing a fresh association focus on supporting and developing this vital industry resource is a key WWA priority.”
Kevin, who has spent his summers in Wildwood since he was five years old, credits all the managers he has worked with throughout his employment for helping him grow as a leader. “This is an incredible honor. I have put my heart and soul into my job and have always strived to be the best I can be at whatever I do,” commented Kevin. “I was raised to take pride in the job I do and it’s pretty awesome to be recognized in front of my peers for all my years of hard work,” he added.
