Moran, County’s Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholar, Heads to College

PHILADELPHIA — Ronald McDonald House Charities and the McDonald’s Owner/Operators of the Greater Philadelphia Region have announced that Rebecca Moran, of Middle Township High School, the Cape May County Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship winner will be attending University of Delaware in Newark, Del., where she plans to study Biochemistry this fall.
Ronald McDonald House Charities annually rewards up to 60 scholarships to high school seniors in the Greater Philadelphia Region on the basis of academic achievement, community service and financial needs.
The local chapter of RMHC supports the RMHC Scholars® Scholarship program, which provides up to 20, $1,000 college scholarships; the RMHC/Future Achievers® Scholarship Program, which provides $1,000 to up to 20 area African American high school seniors; and, the RMHC/HACER® Scholarship Program, which provides $1,000 to up to 20 local Latino high school seniors.
RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. is dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and families. In addition to the RMHC Scholarship Programs, RMHC “lifts children to a better tomorrow” through the Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey and Delaware Ronald McDonald Houses; the St. Christopher’s Foundation Ronald McDonald Care Mobile; and grants to not-for-profit children’s programs.
