COURT HOUSE – The sights and sounds of this holiday season are almost upon us once again. The Middle Township Chamber of Commerce will kick off the holiday on Fri., Dec. 2 with the 25th Anniversary of the Tree of Life Celebration during the Christmas in Middle Festival. The display of decorated trees and wreaths will be open from 6:00 – 8:45 followed by a live auction.
The location is different this year as the old Firehouse on Boyd Street will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Businesses, organizations and individuals are being sought to sponsor decorated trees by designing, decorating and donating their tree for display and auction. Businesses or individuals can sponsor a tree by contributing $150.00 or a wreath for $75.00 and will have their name displayed on the tree at the event. Trees will be judged and awarded ribbons in categories of Most Creative, Artistic, Elegant/Formal, Best Children’s, Traditional, Whimsical and Best Theme. Tree size can range from tabletop to 6 feet tall but must be artificial for fire safety reasons. The sponsors name will be displayed at the Tree of Life and on all promotional material and media advertising.
Proceeds from the evening benefit Holy Redeemer Hospice, Cape Assist and the United Way of Cape May County.
Contact Chairperson, Mary Kisielewski at 463-6722 for information on involvement.
