Middle Chamber Plans Auction Fundraiser

COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual auction fundraiser Wed., Sept. 1 at the Courtyard at Atkinson’s, 1010 Rt. 9 South in Mayville.
This year’s theme is fishing. The auction benefits the chamber’s special events fund, which enables the organization to sponsor community events throughout the year.
The auction will be conducted by none other than that old salt of the sea, Bob “Sharky” Noel, who always reels in the keepers. Auction items are being solicited from area businesses and individuals by chamber board member, Jennifer Armstrong at 231-8106 or chuckjen@comcast.net.
Items being snagged include golf packages, boat rentals, gift baskets, sporting event tickets, restaurant gift cards, salon, auto service and personal care gift certificates.
Member businesses are encouraged to bring along their staff, friends or any prospective new members. Chamber president, Barbara Peltzer a-shores that there will be no stories of the “one that got away” as the catch of bargains will be bountiful.
Peltzer said, “It’s a great time to let loose after the hectic summer we have all had while networking with each other.” The buffet begins at 6 p.m. with the auction to follow so be “shore” to be onboard. Cash bar.
