Maryjane Rupinski Named MAC Volunteer of the Month for January

CAPE MAY – Maryjane Rupinski of Fishing Creek, N.J., shown here on a garden bench in winter at the historic 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., Cape May, N.J., is the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) Volunteer of the Month for January, 2015.
MAC Volunteer Coordinator Barbara Hubmaster nominated Rupinski for all that she does for MAC throughout the year. That ranges from volunteering at Cape May’s Designer Show House, 25 Ocean St., to helping visitors on house tours in spring and fall and the holidays, to volunteering at the Physick Estate during Halloween events. “Maryjane is always willing to volunteer,” said Hubmaster. “She is wonderful – always willing to pitch in when we need help.” Maryjane even helps stuff bags for travel shows that staff attend throughout the year, which help promote Cape May. Maryjane has been a MAC volunteer for over 10 years; she said what she enjoys most is the people she knows and works with at MAC. MAC benefits from the expertise of members of the community in a variety of ways. The Volunteer of the Month award is given to a person who demonstrates a high degree of dedication, commitment and constancy to MAC’s volunteer program.
