CAPE MAY – Votes have been counted and the winners of the 10th Annual Scarecrow Alley Contest sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) are in.
The grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate were transformed for Halloween and became the setting for 28 goofy goblins and spooky spectres created by members of the community that adorned the walkways of the estate from Oct. 12-31. Visitors to the estate during this time entered their written ballot for favorite scarecrows in one of six categories: “Individuals or Families,” “Businesses,” “Nonprofits, Church, Club, Scout Troops,” “Munchkins” (aged 3-10), “School Group” and the “Cape May Elementary Class Award.”
