On Wednesday, April 13, a classroom of approximately 15 hairstyling students had the opportunity to learn from a professional, local stylist, Cindy Pleasants of Headlines Professional Hair Care in Cape May Court House.
Liz Pastore, the instructor of the class, invited Cindy to the adult continuing education course at Cape May County Technical High School, a class designed for adults who decide to go back to school for hairstyling. Cindy demonstrated an asymmetrical bob haircut to the students.
The students gave Cindy a lot of positive feedback, sharing that her demonstration helped to clarify a cutting routine. One of the students competed in the SkillsUSA Competition the following Saturday with a similar bob haircut, and ended up receiving a Gold medal.
“I felt that I really had the students’ attention,” Cindy said. “They listened and followed, and I look forward to teaching them again.”
