Leadership Cape May County is a program run by the Cape May County Chamber Education Foundation designed for development of business, organization, civic and government leaders within our community. The nine-month program consists of leadership seminars, in-depth exposure to critical issues within the county, team building exercises and projects.
The 2018 Leadership Cape May County graduates include: Terry Anstead (Cape May – Lewes Ferry), Issan Ascota (OceanFirst Bank), Mike Couch (CMC Coast Guard Community Foundation), Rachael Davis (Crest Savings Bank), Volha Kislaya (OceanFirst Bank), Erin Ledwon (CMC Herald Newspaper), Patrick McMahon (McMahon Insurance Agency), Nick Ebner (Morey’s Piers), Liz Raunezahn (Sturdy Savings Bank), Brittany Toland (SMG, Wildwoods Convention Center), Justin Vitti (Cape May Brewing Company), Kimberly Tweed (CompleteCare Health Network) and Tony Scinadra (Atlantic City Electric).
“The Leadership Cape May County program was an ideal way to learn more about diverse topics in the community. The mix of classroom training, visits to local organizations and a team project focused on a local issue increased my ability to contribute to both my organization and the community. The program helps to develop business leaders who graduate ready to take their place in Cape May County,” said Mike Couch, CMC Coast Guard Community Foundation.
Erin Ledwon, CMC Herald Newspapers had this to say about the program: “My initial reason for enrolling in Leadership Cape May County was to connect with other local business professionals. The program afforded me the opportunity to do that, and also gave me greater insight into the county in which I work. I particularly enjoyed getting behind-the-scenes looks at county industries that I probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see otherwise. It gave me a better understanding of the businesses/organizations that make up Cape May County, while alerting me to important issues affecting the county and its residents.”
