Leadership Cape May County completed the inaugural class with graduation of 12 participants at a dinner event hosted by Cape May Winery on June 14.
Leadership Cape May County is designed to develop local informed, committed and qualified business, community and civic leaders. Using models previously established by successful leadership programs held around the United States, Leadership Cape May County takes an intensive look into the demographics, economy and issues affecting our area in order to prepare participants as dynamic leaders in Cape May County. Each month from September through May, the class focused on unique aspects of the county including volunteerism, communications, tourism, transportation, health and human services, law enforcement, public policy, environmental issues, history, culture and entrepreneurship.
Graduates of the inaugural class of Leadership Cape May County include: June Cooper (Crest Savings Bank), Mike Porch (DRBA), Elizabeth Hulitt (1st National Bank of Elmer), Paula James (Atlantic City Electric), Steven Steger (Steger Beach Service), Eliza Lotoza (Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities), John Young (Sturdy Savings Bank), Beverly Trapp (GWITDA), Anthony Martino (Gaiss’ Meat Market), Maria Kellett (Atlantic Cape), Rhonda Jackson and Brigitta Scott (Cape May County Chamber).
