Ladawna Leeth, RN, APN Appointed Coordinator of Palliative Care at Cape Regional Health System

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Ladawna Leeth, APN, has been appointed Coordinator of Palliative Care at Cape Regional Health System. Palliative Care is a multidisciplinary specialty which focuses on the treatment and relief of mental and physical pain and other symptoms, in patients suffering from serious long term and terminal illness. Palliative care provides support to other physicians who are treating ongoing illness and can be provided at any stage of an illness including with curative treatment. Its focus is on improving quality of life – mind, body and spirit. It is care which provides communication and coping tools to the patient and their loved ones by setting goals that direct the patient’s care.
Ms. Leeth is completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Ms. Leeth possesses over 25 years of nursing, advance practice nursing, hospice and home care experience serving in leadership positions at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in addition to other healthcare facilities in New Jersey.
