By Press Release

NORTH WILDWOOD – Christmas will come early this year for a few local surfers due to the generosity of Kona Surf Company! On Thursday, Dec. 15, Kona Surf Company donated a series of gifts including a “beater” surfboard and boogie board to the North Wildwood Kids Christmas Party.
“To be able to introduce surfing to a child, or to provide a surfboard to a child that otherwise couldn’t afford one, is one of the greatest feelings for a resident of the community and local surf shop owner like myself,” said owner of Kona Surf Company, Mike Sciarra. “I have been a local surf shop owner in my hometown of Wildwood for 40 plus years, and I recognize that its events, like the North Wildwood Kids Christmas Party, bring families and our children together.”
The North Wildwood Kids Christmas Party is an annual event held by North Wildwood Recreation and Tourism for children from North Wildwood in grades sixth and under. The Kids Christmas Party includes toys, gifts, music fun, games, snacks, entertainment and of course, a special visit from Santa Claus. The Kids Christmas Party is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the North Wildwood Recreation Center.
