COURT HOUSE – Calling it a “Community Challenge,” Kindle Auto Plaza has announced that every sales and service customer will receive a list of more than 50 charitable, civic and educational organizations serving Cape May County, and asked to help Kindle decide how to make more than $100,000 in charitable donations this year.
“This ‘Community Challenge’ idea is my son Steve’s initiative,” said owner Bill Kindle. “My father taught me the importance of giving back to the community, and I’ve tried to practice it, and pass it along,” says owner Bill Kindle. “Thanks to our community, our customers, and a great Kindle team, we’re in a position to be of some help.”
“Supporting the community is part of our corporate culture,” said Vice President Steve Kindle. “My father was recently honored by Ford as one of six dealers in the world for his community service over the years. I just thought we should ask our customers how we can help our community.”
Every sales and service customer will be given a list of over 50 organizations, including area schools and hospitals, and asked to decide how Kindle should allocate its charitable donations this year. There is also a place for write-ins, and customers are directed to learn more about these organizations at a new website: www.HonestNeighbors.Org. Kindle plans a celebration in October when wall the organizations will receive their donations.
After receiving news that Kindle had already made a pledge to Community Quest, Inc., Jennifer Kelly responded, “Wow, how nice of Kindle Auto to pledge the first $158 for the January customers! Thank you. I think this is a great program that you are pledging to the community and we are grateful to be apart of it.”
Linda Horner of 4-H noted, “Kindle Ford has once again proven to be a very good friend to our youth development program!”
