COURT HOUSE — Keller Williams Realty associates may be taking the day off on Thurs., May 12, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with Keller Williams Oceanside Realty have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.
As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Oceanside Realty has chosen to spend the day with The Free Meal Center at 1206 Route 9 South from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Free Meal Center is a secular, non-profit charitable organization, operated by five Board of Director members and a network of compassionate volunteers, and funded by donations and grants.
The Free Meal Center’s mission is to provide nutritious, free, on-site meals in Cape May County, to anyone who walks through the doors in a manner that preserves and enhances the dignity of each individual.
Volunteers and organizations may offer information and advice concerning finances, housing, health and nutrition, and job and career needs to willful participants.
During RED Day 2010, over 35,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes totaling more than 150,000 hours of service making RED Day one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
