CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Kathy Weinberger, Nurse Aide and Monitor Technician on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), has been honored with the Service Excellence of the Month Award at Cape Regional Health System for September, 2015.
“Kathy consistently goes above and beyond for patients to make them feel as comfortable as possible. She draws smiley faces on patients’water cups with encouraging messages to cheer them up. Kathy will help anyone to the best of her ability. She brings a positive and fun attitude to the unit,” stated Shannon Farrell, Nurse Assistant, and Kathy’s co-worker.
“I find caring for patients and contributing to the quality of their life to be very fulfilling and rewarding. I knew I wanted to care for people for a living since I was 15 years old and cared for my grandfather who was terminally ill from cancer,” stated Ms. Weinberger. “I am honored that my co-workers have nominated me. They are a great bunch of people. We all try to work together as a team and everyone really cares about their patients and takes pride in their work. I love working on PCU and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
Kathy Weinberger has been a team member at Cape Regional Health System since August 2014. Kathy lives in North Wildwood with her two sons, and her mother lives nearby in Atlantic County.
