Jones Elected to State Board of Engineers

BRIDGETON — Barry S. Jones, professional land surveyor and planner of Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, was recently elected president of the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Gov. Jon Corzine appointed him as a member of the board in 2007. Since his appointment he has served as a member and vice president.
The board, a part of the Division of Consumer Affairs, regulates the professions of engineering and land surveying to ensure the health safety and welfare of the public through the professionalism of the licensees.
Jones began his career in 1973 at Fralinger Engineering Pa., located in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County and became a licensed professional land surveyor in 198. He is presently Director of Surveys at the Fralinger firm.
