COURT HOUSE – John R. Young has been promoted to Commercial Lending Officer at Sturdy Savings Bank. Young joined Sturdy as a credit analyst in 2010.
He previously served as a research assistant for the College of New Jersey’s economics department, and as an economics assistant for the United States Department of Agriculture.
Young, a co-coordinator of Financial Peace University at Fusion Church in Somers Point, teaches participants about financial planning, budgeting, savings, and debt repayment.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of New Jersey and was also awarded the school’s Daniel R. Hall Award for excellence in economics education and public service. Young is enrolled in graduate studies at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and recently completed the Center for Financial Training’s Commercial Lending School.
