CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops are proud to announce the winners for the Jersey Shore Pops Talent Competition 2017: Alan Rendzak, singer, Hannah Rose Zoltowski, singer, Mathew Tzorfas, trumpet, David Tzorfas, saxaphone, Grace Mozitis, singer and Noah Schneider, pianist.
The majority of submissions and several of the winners of the contest are from Middle Township. David and Mathew Tzorfas are 15-year-old twin brothers from Middle Township. Both are honors students in their sophomore year at Middle Township High School.
Singer Hannah Rose Zoltowski is a senior at Middle Township High School. In her four years there, she has actively participated in Advanced Choir, Chamber Choir and the Middletones (which is a small, selective A capella group), and is a part of the Vocal Academy since it’s creation two years ago. She states, “ I am very excited to have this opportunity to perform with the Jersey Shore Pops. My goal in life is to pursue a career in the performing arts, and this is a great start for me.”
Pianist Noah Schneider is a 15-year-old freshman from Upper Township who attends Ocean City High School, where he just achieved Distinctive Honors. He has been playing piano for the past eight years, and also plays alto sax for the Ocean City Marching Band, the Concert Band and the Jazz Band.
Music director and conductor for the orchestra Linda Gentille comments, “I am so excited about these talented young musicians and performance artists. We spent many hours watching videos before making our final choices. This will be our most exciting Christmas concert ever with all this young talent joining the orchestra!”
