MAYS LANDING – Are you an unemployed or underemployed resident looking to start your own business? Atlantic Cape Community College has partnered with the Ocean City Free Public Library, Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, and New Jersey Small Business Development Center at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to present “Fresh Start Entrepreneurial Training Program,” beginning Oct. 14.
The 60-hour program is free for qualified students and will feature:
• One-on-one instruction from experienced business professionals, group coaching and mentoring
• Individualized small business group coaching
• Group/individual mentoring after the classroom training ends
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to create a business plan; understand funding resources; develop a marketing plan; understand information system options for customer relations management; and understand the basics of accounting and finance.

“Fresh Start Entrepreneurial Training Program” information sessions are planned for 5:30 p.m., Sept. 8, at the Atlantic Cape’s Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd. and Sept. 11, at the Ocean City Free Public Library, 1735 Simpson Ave. Pre-registration at www.atlantic.edu/ce is required.
Unemployed or underemployed residents who have an idea for their own business are encouraged to attend. The program is funded by Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board.
