COURT HOUSE – David and Maggy Robinson, co-owners of Holly Shores Camping Resort in Lower Township presented a $1,500 donation to Jacqueline Meiluta, Executive Director of Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County to support the organization in providing high-quality health care services to community members in need. “There are far too many people in our community without basic health care coverage.” said Maggy Robinson. “We support Volunteers in Medicine because we believe that the work they do to provide quality health care services to people in our community without insurance, or who cannot afford health care, is so critical.”
“VIM truly appreciates what Maggy and Dave do for the community.” said Jacqueline “Their support will make a difference in many lives. This is a confusing time in health care. The Medicaid expansion will help some but far too many people in Cape May County will be caught in the middle – too much for Medicaid, not enough for premiums, co-pays and deductibles. The Robinson’s and Holly Shores Camping Resort are shining examples of VIM’s motto – neighbors caring for neighbors.”
Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) is a free medical clinic serving low-income residents of Cape May County with no access to health insurance. It is run by volunteer physicians, nurses and administrative professionals and is supported by donations. For information about becoming a volunteer or donor visit VIM at www.vimcmc.org
