Celebrating its grand opening on February 1st, Harmony Boutique promises to be a mecca of relaxation, creativity, and style. Home to its very own coffee & tea bar, Harmony Boutique invites patrons to sample the featured coffee flavor or green tea flavor of the day in its bright, inviting sitting room. Plus, they have available their own blend of medium roast called “Harmony Blend”.
Harmony Boutique owner Carol Anne Futrell has long aspired to open a boutique that offers unique products that are otherwise difficult to find locally. She was inspired by her travels to various yoga festivals throughout the country and desired to bring organic, grass-roots style apparel and accessories here to Cape May County.
“I wanted Harmony Boutique to feature comfortable women’s clothing that could be worn from day to night that looks and feels amazing,” she explains. Notable Harmony Boutique brands include Angelrox, Desigual, Autumn Teneyl, and Hanky Panky. Be sure to browse the antique jewelry display’s collection of rare and fashion-forward finds by designers such as Liquid Metal and Soixante Neuf.
Inspired by the building’s exceptional natural lighting, Carol Anne decided to transform its second floor into Maverick Art Studio. Here, seven resident artists will teach a number of weekly classes and daily workshops to students from two years old to adults. These classes include all the materials necessary to complete projects, with the exception of stained glass.
All 2014 classes run for six weeks beginning March 1st. Every 2 months, the class schedule will be updated to offer new and timely class choices. There are children’s art camps available during the summer months and birthday and bachelorette party packages available all year.
Celebrate the County’s newest boutique and art studio at its Grand Opening event Saturday, February 1st from 8 am to 6 pm. Meet a number of Maverick Studio artists including Lee Neuman, Susan Ross, Bruce Hippel, Robin Hippel, and Julia Mills. The Geno White Trio and the talented gymnasts of Art of Gymnastics and Cheer will perform live. There will also be pottery wheel demonstrations, sample pottery, and stained glass on display.
