Greater Wildwood Chamber Installs Officers; Makes Awards

WILDWOOD — The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce held the 72nd annual Installation Dinner on Sept. 30, at Wildwood Golf and Country Club beginning with 120-plus local business members networking.
Freeholder Gerald Thorton installed the new slate of officers including Board President J.M. Rowland: Board Secretary Jacqueline Fiore; Second Vice President Joyce Gould; Board Legal Counsel Alan Gould; Immediate Past President Lori Bradshaw Roach; and Board of Director Lindsey Young.
Tracey DuFault, executive director of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce served as MC for this event.
During the event, the organization presented the 2010 award winners in 10 categories.
DuFault stated “This is such a special night for The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce as we install our officers and recognize some of our members for their achievements over the past year.
Chamber members are asked to nominate local businesses, organizations, individuals and municipalities in 10 categories at which time a committee reviews these nominations to select a winner in each category.”
Winners for the 2010 year were: Chamber Volunteer of The Year, Steven Clark; Community Volunteer of the Year, Jodie DiEduardo; Business Community Volunteer of the Year, Troiano & Sons; Business Person of Year, Joey and Carol Montello; Best New Business, Capt’n Jacks Island Grill.
Best Improvement and Construction, The Borough of Wildwood Crest; Best New Construction, The Morey Organization, The Ghost Ship; Best Landscaping, City of North Wildwood – The Gardens at City Hall; Best Landscaping – The Gardens at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse; Community Betterment – Vietnam Veterans of America Michael P. Callahan Chapter 184 and The America Legion Byron Pennington Post 184.
Community Event of the Year- Borough of Wildwood Crest Centennial Committee.
