Fusion Cuisine in a Relaxed Atmosphere

By Press Release

Sushi Ukai opened its door in April, and they have been making delicious Asian Fusion cuisine ever since.
Owners Sandy Zheng and Chef Henry are originally from New York City, and dreamed of owning their own restaurant for many years. Chef Henry and the other sushi chefs all worked at various high end sushi establishments in Manhattan including the famous Sushi Samba for more than eight years.
They bring their vast experience to Cape May County and explain what makes fusion cuisine different from Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cooking.
“Fusion cuisine is a fantasy,” said Henry. “The presentation is very unique and theatrical. Many special sauces are created by the chef and the styling of the sushi and sashimi is more elegant.”
Two beautiful examples would be the Tiradito and Serviche Sashami.
“We want our customers to feel like they are stepping into a stylish Manhattan restaurant, said Sandy. “We want them to feel as if they are having an experience, something unique and special.”
“The style of the restaurant is designed to make the customers feel relaxed and at ease,” said added. “They can take their time when they come here.”
Sushi Ukai offers daily specials and take-out, for those customers on the go. Sandy and Henry researched the Internet to find the perfect spot to launch their new business, and Cape May County came up as an excellent match and location for them.
They are very excited to be here and hope to be serving their fantasy food to Cape May’s locals and visitors alike for years to come.
Seasonal fresh fish dishes are always available including scallops, clams, and fresh oysters. Sushi Ukai offers daily specials and take-out, for those customers on the go.
Stop in today and experience Asian Fusion cuisine for yourself.
They’re located at 1500 Route 47 South in Rio Grande, near Shoprite and next to Dollar Tree.
