Marie Hayes, liaison to the Cape May County Department of Tourism, Director of Tourism, Diane Wieland, North Wildwood Councilman, Joe Rullo, North Wildwood Council Woman, Peggy Bishop, and the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented proclamations to owners Julie and Stephen Bass. Fresh on Fifth is one of North Wildwood’s newest and freshest eateries on the island offering over 20 different smoothies, wraps, salads, coffee and more.
Owners Julie and Stephen Bass turned a vacant building on the corner of 5th Avenue and New Jersey Avenue into an eye-catching store branded with a bright pink and green theme. The bright color scheme is a perfect reflection of Fresh on Fifth’s slogan: “Healthy…Tasty…Fresh.” The eatery offers multiple types of blended delights such as the Berry, Berry Good refuel and recover smoothie loaded with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, banana and 20 grams of vanilla whey protein. Other refuel and detox smoothies include the I Love Veggies packed with crushed pineapple, coconut, spinach, kale, avocado, lemon, banana and 20 grams of vanilla whey protein. Fresh on Fifth also specializes in meal replacement, low calorie and kids smoothies. There truly is something to please everyone’s tastes buds at Fresh on Fifth!
General Manager, Steve Sumler, can be found behind the counter with a smile on his face preparing daily paninis, wraps and lunch specials. During the grand opening ceremony, hungry guests sampled delicious items such as buffalo chicken wraps, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette wraps, and turkey wraps. Julie Bass whizzed around the store passing out samples of chocolate peanut butter smoothies and Shamrockin’ protein shakes. Fresh on Fifth’s menu also includes healthy breakfast items such as superfruit bowls prepared with Amazon Acai, banana and choice of granola, chai, hemp or flax seed.
Fresh on Fifth is currently open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be open seven days a week during the summer season. Stephen and Julie invite you to place your to-go order in advance at (609) 305-5316 or stop in and have a seat at one of the high top tables and enjoy a delicious meal.
