FREE Customer Service Training Offered in Cape May County

By Press Release

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — In an effort to heighten the customer experience for visitors to Cape May County in the highly competitive tourism industry, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce and Atlantic Cape Community College have partnered to provide valuable customer service training free of charge to local businesses.
The Jersey Cape Experience, Serving Dreams in 2017 will teach front line staffers the importance of being engaged with customers, delivering exceptional service and inspiring great experiences to visitors to the Jersey Cape this summer season. Ten sessions for front line employees of tourism businesses will be offered throughout Cape May County from May 31 through June 28. Two sessions for managers and supervisors of tourism businesses will be offered as well as two sessions for all other businesses in the county who provide products and services in Cape May County.
The Chamber has secured funding in order to offer these two-hour training sessions free of charge and offers multiple locations and dates so that employers can send their entire staff over a variety of days. Chamber President Vicki Clark says, “Travelers have more options than ever to spend their vacation dollars. They can hop on a plane, take a cruise or visit beach communities in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, who advertise heavily to our traditional customer base. We offer this training to help assure that our visitors feel valued and appreciated by everyone they come in contact with while vacationing in Cape May County.”
This grant-funded training is available to the business public. To register, you will need your company’s FEIN Tax ID Number and schedule your employees to attend as part of their work schedule. To see the full schedule of workshops and register, visit www.capemaycountychamber.com/customerservice. For additional information, call (609) 465-7181.
This training is provided through a cooperative effort with Atlantic Cape Community College and the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and funded through a grant from the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
